ECE Gent's Plane

ECE hand planes combine Emmerich's meticulous quality with the economy of traditional hammer-set irons secured with wooden wedges. Heavy irons are solidly bedded for smooth, clean performance. Bodies are dense European beech and soles are long-wearing hornbeam. As in all Emmerich planes, the workmanship is simply outstanding.

This is a delightfully small, light smoothing plane. Length is 200mm (~8") with an iron 39mm (~1-1/2") wide. Iron requires honing before use.
