Detailed Description
Festool CT Dust Extractor Bags
The bag is the first line of defense against dust in your Festool Dust Extractor. It removes most chips and large dust particles from the airflow. The Filter Element removes very fine dust.
Festool offers several types of bags depending on your application and dust extractor model.
SelfClean bags
Festool's SelfClean bags are made of a flexible material that prevents dust from sticking to the inside of the bag. Since there is no layer of dust on the bag, it retains it's maximum filtering capability for much longer. SelfClean bags filter particles down to 5 microns with minimal impact on suction. They'll help extend the life of your dust extractor and your main filter element. When full, it's easy to dispose of SelfClean bags because they have an integrated closure to prevent the contents from spilling. SelfClean bags are standard equipment on all current Festool Dust Extractors, except the CT 36 AutoClean.
Paper Bags
Festool's paper bags have a double layer of paper filtering material that removes particles down to 5 microns. They have a plastic cap to seal the bag and prevent spillage during disposal. Paper bags were standard equipment on all Festool CT 11, CT 22, CT 33 and older CT Mini/Midi Dust Extractors.
LongLife Bags
Festool's LongLife bag, reusable up to 500 times, is the best option for you if you're filling a lot of bags with coarse dust and chips. It is made from tough fabric with a micropore non-stick lining. When it's full, just take it out of the dust extractor, empty it and re-install it. Like other Festool bags, it has a plug to seal the port hole so you won't risk spillage on your way to the trash. It also has a clip that secures one end of the bag, but can be easily removed to empty the bag. Note: The LongLife bag is NOT recommended for operations that generate a lot of fine dust – like sanding.
Plastic Liner
Festool's plastic liner used when collecting very difficult dust from drywall sanding or concrete grinding in the CT 36 AC & CT 48 AC AutoClean Dust Extractors.
