Gransfors Bruks Axes
Gransfors Bruks Axes are among the finest hand forged axes available in the world today. The small family operated forge started making axes in 1902 and produce in limited quantities so the focus can be on making the best hand forged axes possible. Each Gransfors axe is carefully forged in Sweden by an experienced smith who shows his pride in his work by stamping his initials on the axe. This same craftsmanship can readily be seen in the careful design of their classic handles. Their hand turned tight grained hickory handles are fully dried before use to ensure a tight fit and soaked in hot linseed oil, then each handle is treated with beeswax for endurance. Each handle is specially carved for easy, less-slip grip and striated along their length for flexible strength.
After hand forging, each blade is honed to a razor edge so handle your new axe with care, leather grained sheath included.
