Detailed Description

Hydrocote Water-based Polyurethane

Like other Hydrocote finishes, this polyurethane is a non-toxic, non-flammable water-based finish with very little odor and remarkably fast drying time. It can usually be sanded and re-coated in one hour. It has only a hint of the amber tone charateristic of oil-based polys, and yellows less over time. Like conventional polyurethanes, Hydrocote provides a very tough finish, resisting damage from water, alcohol or other stains and spills even through prolonged exposure. It can be used over most stains and finishes if they are dry, clean, and properly prepared for topcoating.

Formulated specifically for extreme hardness and abrasion resistance, Hydrocote Poly is one of the best products you can use for new or refinished floors. It's even tough enough for gym floors; it meets or exceeds all specs of the National Maple Flooring Manufacturer's Association. Coverage is conservatively figured at 600 sq. ft. per gallon. Hydrocote Polyurethane can be sprayed, brushed, or wiped, flowing out to a smooth, even coat that goes tack-free in 20 minutes or less. More tolerant of cool shop temperatures than most polys or lacquers, it goes on with no trouble at temperatures as low as 50° F.

Options

Hydrocote Polyurethane is available in Gloss and Satin sheens in quart, gallon and 5 gallon cans.
