Detailed Description
Ikedame Dozuki Saw
The Ikedame Dozuki Saw is a fine cross-cutting saw for joinery work. Dozuki means "attached trunk", thus
describing the reinforcing steel strip on the back of the blade that adds rigidity to reduce blade warping,
deflection or twisting as you cut. 17 teeth per inch. Blade thickness is .012", kerf is .018".
Blade length is 240mm (9-5/8"). The height of the blade, (depth of cut capacity) tapers along the length of the blade.
The blade's height at the heel measures 1-1/2" and at the toe it's 2-1/8". Overall length is 23-7/8".
Traditional wood handle wrapped in rattan is light and easy to grip. Weighs 8-1/4 oz.
The saw cuts on the pull stroke.
The blade's teeth can be re-sharpened with a suitable feather file or you can simply replace the blade when needed.
