Knew Concepts Woodworker's Titanium Birdcage Fret Saw

Knew Concepts has created a new generation of fret saws called the Titanium Birdcage Saw, so called because its horizontal frame member is a welded titanium truss that's triangular in cross section (and thus cage-like). This design creates an exceptionally strong and rigid frame for minimizing flex as you tension the blade. Getting the blade extra taut helps you cut nice tight turns for all your intricate fret and scrolling work. The blade clamps lock at 45° left, 0°, and 45° right.

Three sizes are available for either a 3 inch, 5 inch or 8 inch depth of cut capacity. The respective weights of the saws are 6 oz., 6-3/4oz. & 7-1/2 oz. All models accept standard 5 inch pinless blades. Light, nimble and strong, these saws are sure to be a favorite of woodworkers, jewelry makers needing a jewelers saw and for any hobbyist who needs a fine cutting saw.

The saw's Cam-Lever tensioning system allows the blade to be brought into tension instantly, while its knurled fine adjustment screw allows the tension to be set precisely where you want it.

Saw comes with a single #7, skip tooth - 15 TPI blade.

The 5" fret saw is the most popular size for removing dovetail waste.

Important Note:

Knew Concepts Fret Saws use premium 130mm (~5 inch) scroll or fret type blades with plain ends. They are compatible with our Premium German Scroll Saw Blades and our Olson Scroll Saw blades. Other blades may not be compatible with Knew Concepts Fret Saws. A #5 12.5tpi skip tooth blade is recommended for removing dovetail waste.
