Lake Erie Toolworks Moxon Vise Kit

A Moxon vise is a great addition to almost any workbench. It raises your workpiece above the bench for better access and clamps larger workpieces than any standard bench vise can handle.

Lake Erie Toolwork's Moxon Vise is precision crafted from hard maple. The front and rear jaws are a hefty 1-3/4" thick. It mounts easily to the your bench with a few holdfasts or bar clamps. The back of the front jaw extends 1/8" lower than the rear jaw so it can be used to align the vise with the front edge of your bench. It comes complete with both jaws and both screws. You can set it up or stow it in in less than a minute.

The vise comes un-finished. Lake Erie Toolworks recommends a penetrating oil finish to protect your vise (Danish oil is a good choice) and some wax on the threaded sections of the screws and rear jaw to help the smooth the clamping action of the vise.
