Micro Jig GRR-Ripper Gravity Heel Kit

Pushing stock past or through a spinning blade or bit should not be attempted without a hand-protecting device to simultaneously hold down and move the stock in the desired direction. Even with the best-in-class device such as the GRR-Ripper, its always safest to manage the trailing edge with a "hook" that totally eliminates the risk of the device slipping near the cutting edge.

The Gravity Heel from Micro-Jig increases control and stability when feeding short or long stock on the table saw. It eliminates tear-out. At the router table it provides a secure sacrificial backing on routing operations and prevent ugly blowout on the trailing edge. And once shaped by the bit it can later be used as a template for repeat routing.

The Gravity Heel is perfect for use with long stock on jointers in a hand-over-hand feeding action when the Gravity Heel drops down to guide the last few inches past a whirring cutter. The Gravity Heel can be fixed in place or set to drop to a specified depth. In any operation on any stationary cutting tool, the Gravity Heel is there when you need it and gets out of the way when you don't.

The Gravity Heel is adjustable from 0-1" and fits any existing GRR-RIPPER. The kit includes 5 Heels, 2 Heel Spacers and mounting hardware for two GRR-RIPPERs. A replacement pack of 5 Gravity Heels is also available.
