The Morakniv Dala Horse Carving Kit is a great introductions to woodcarving. It includes a Morakniv 120 Straight Knife and a pre-cut blank to carve the horse. The Dala horse is a traditional carved and painted statuette from the Dalarna province of Sweden - the home of Morakniv.

The pre-cut, horse-shaped blank is approximately 4" high by 3-3/4" long by 1-1/8" wide.

The 120 straight knife has a 9/16" wide x 2-3/8" long blade made from laminated steel. It has enough heft to do some rough work, while the tapered end of the blade allows for refining shapes and adding details. Overall length is 6-1/2". Includes a plastic scabbard with belt loop.
