You're invited to join us at Highland Woodworking's 40th Anniversary Celebration and Sale on Saturday, April 28 from 10am-4pm at our store in Atlanta, GA. Special sale prices will be offered on select items and product lines throughout the store in addition to several giveaways and a raffle!
Nick Offerman, well-known woodworker and actor, will be signing copies of his book, Good Clean Fun. Nick is best known for his portrayal of Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation. In addition to his acting, Nick is a dedicated woodworker and founder of Offerman Woodshop in Los Angeles.
Roy Underhill, longtime friend of Highland Woodworking, will be set up throughout the day offering FREE demonstrations of traditional methods of working wood. For more than 30 years Roy Underhill has brought traditional hand-tool woodworking techniques to life on his much-loved public TV show, The Woodwright's Shop.
Thomas Lie-Nielsen, Founder and CEO of Lie-Nielsen Toolworks will be on hand demonstrating his company's fine array of quality hand tools. Lie-Nielsen woodworking tools are highly sought-after today not only for their proven splendid performance, but also for the superb standard of excellence incorporated in their manufacture, a quality which has been recognized by craftsmen worldwide. Highland Woodworking has taken delight in providing Lie-Nielsen Tools to our customers for more than three decades.
Charles Brock is the Host, Executive Producer and Co-Creator of The Highland Woodworker. Charles' woodworking is greatly inspired by the late Sam Maloof and his sculptured rocker and low back chair DVD, book and pattern bundles have sold all over the world helping woodworkers build their "bucket list" projects.
Upstairs in our Seminar Room we will be hosting a Dovetail Donation Challenge. The cost to participate in this challenge will be $5 and all proceeds from the contest will be matched by Highland Woodworking and donated to Building Homes for Heroes a non-profit organization committed to helping rebuild the lives of the men and women of our country's armed services who were injured in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars. The organization builds or modifies homes and gifts them mortgage-free, to veterans and their families. Besides helping to ease a family's financial burden, these homes help to restore an individual’s freedom, and enable the veteran to lead a more independent and productive civilian life.
We'll also have representatives from Festool and SawStop demonstrating their product lines.
If you can't make it to Atlanta, don't worry. We'll be offering a number of our 40th Anniversary Sale items online throughout the year. Be sure to check the Highland Woodworking website each week during 2018 to see what new Anniversary Sale items have been added.
