E. C. Emmerich Primus Adjustable Block Plane

This superb plane combines the convenience of a steel block plane with the feel and performance of a fine hardwood body. The 39mm (1-1/2") iron is secured with a screw-tightened cap, & depth of cut is adjusted with a large knob which fits in the palm of the hand. 5-7/8" x 2-1/8". Made in Germany

Construction

Emmerich currently offers the 649 block plane in two versions.

Model 649 has a hornbeam body.
Model 649 P has a hornbeam body and a lignum vitae sole.
Due to restrictions on the availability of lignum vitae wood, this model is no longer in production and we are limited to what we have on hand.

Please Note: Due to import/export restrictions, we do not ship planes with lignum vitae parts internationally.
