Spoons are fun to carve, and allow for lots of creativity and can be carved almost anywhere with a few simple sharp tools. It also teaches you about the characteristics of wood and of the different species. You will begin by roughing on the bandsaw, then move into using carving tools to refine your spoons. You will come away with a functional spoon and the knowledge to carve many more.
