With the roller removed, this jig lays and slides on the tool rest base of the Makita 9820-2 for grinding on the horizontal wheel.  With the 1-1\/2\" wide brass roller installed, the jig can be used on waterstones, diamond stones or sandpaper.  The jig holds plane irons, chisels or skews up to 2-5\/8\" wide \u0026amp; 7\/16\" thick.
