The guide bushing guides the movement of your router to insure you make a tight joint.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eLeigh's current guide bushings are based on the \"universal\" (or Porter-Cable style) guides used by many routers.\n Unfortunately, many router manufacturers use their own guide bushing systems.
