Just slide the tailstock onto the swinger\n extension and then “swing” the tailstock to the back of the lathe bed. It's much easier than removing the tailstock by hand. (The tailstock\n on a 1640 weight 30lbs and the tailstock on a 2000-series lathe wieghs about 50 lbs.)\n  \u003c\/p\u003e\n  \u003ch5\u003e\n   Mounting\n  \u003c\/h5\u003e\n  \u003cp\u003e\n   The tailstock swinger mounts permanently to the end of the lathe bed. It cannot be mounted to a bed extension attached to the lathe.
