Being able to apply \u0026amp; release tension with a lever, especially in a reasonably priced 10\" bandsaw, is pretty useful. A significant improvement on the 10-310 is its tension release mechanism, previously only available on the more expensive 10-3061 10\" saw. The tension release mechanism makes setting up, using, and leaving the saw until next weekend so much easier.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 10-310 cabinet is made of a thinner sheet metal than its predecessor, the 10-305.
