A belt-disc sander is an immensely useful tool for any home shop. It can - of course - shape and sand wooden parts with ease, but it can also grind away bits of metal quickly when you need to shorten a screw or bolt just a smidgen, blunt the tip of a finish nail to reduce its risk of splitting wood or sharpen your non-tempered tool edges.

The Rikon 4" x 36" Belt - 6" Disc Sander features a 6" low mount sanding disc which allows unobstructed access to full length of the belt bed. Normally sanders of this type have the disc protruding above the sanding belt causing the work piece to hit the back of the disc shroud. The 50-112 also has a sturdy cast iron base and rigid steel belt bed for reduced vibration. The belt bed can be raised to a vertical position. The large 9" x 6-1/4" tilt-adjust disc table is slotted to fit a miter gauge (included). The table can be mounted for use with the belt bed when it's set vertically. Single connection dust port dimension is 2-1/4" I.D. x 2-1/2" O.D. Weighs 38 lbs.

Includes one 80 grit disc and one 80 grit belt.
