The Schroeder drill is German quality at a reasonable price in the eggbeater-style hand drill. A single pinion drive spins the chuck 4 revolutions per turn. The main handle and right angle grab knob are made of wood, while the crank handle is made from plastic. Consider a hand drill when you need that extra bit of control for delicate or precision drilling at that critical step in your project. Hand drills are also great tools for pre-drilling and drilling into wood prone to splitting. The Schroeder three-jawed chuck has a 5/16" capacity. Sized right for smaller hands.
