In celebration of their 175th anniversary, Stanley Hand Tools has released this classic, limited edition pocket tape based on a 1933 design. It has a 10 foot long rule housed within a sturdy steel case with a polished chrome finish. The case side is embossed with the historic Stanley "Sweetheart" logo, the initials S.W. (for Stanley Works) within a heart-shaped outline. The tape ruler has a hook end, is 1/2 inch wide and has a non-glare finish. 1/16th graduations are on both edges of the tape.

At 2-1/8 inches in diameter x 7/8 inch thick, the round case nestles nicely into the palm and fingers, with your thumb resting comfortably into the concave center on the sides. This tape will fit neatly and smoothly in an apron pocket for in the shop use or in a pants pocket or purse for on the go measuring endeavors at the lumber yard, home center or hobby / craft / furniture store.

Around the house, we think this measuring tape is too handsome to be relegated to the dark recesses of a kitchen drawer and deserves to reside on a desk or dare we say even a coffee table! The round shape is quite fidget worthy and you may find manipulating it helps your concentration when designing your next woodworking project.

This tape is all analog. There's no App, no Bluetooth, no batteries and even no locking mechanism, but it is full of straightforward handsome utility. It makes a great gift for any woodworker, maker, or project loving homeowner, especially one that appreciates Americana retro tools.
