Starrett 29B Scratch Gauge

The 29B scratch gauge looks like the familiar woodworker's wheel marking gauge, but it's really for metalworking. The square blade won't mark wood fibers that well, but it's great at marking metal surfaces.

The scratch gauge's 6" beam is graduated in 64ths of an inch for its full length. The head is hardened steel and locks in place with a knurled knob.
