Detailed Description
Travisher The travisher is an endangered species of woodworking tool, a 3" wide convex spokeshave used for chair seat shaping work after the adze, scorp and compass plane have roughed in and refined the form. The travisher's handles continue the curve of the blade, rising out of the way of adjacent surfaces so the tool can reach unobstructed into deep hollows. This is another reproduction of one of Mike Dunbar's antiques. The radius of the sole is 4-1/2". Maple body.
