Detailed Description
Veritas Workshop Striking Knife Working to knife lines (as opposed to pencil or scribe lines) has several advantages: knife lines are easy to carry around corners, aren't subject to smudging, don't tear out across grain, and create a shoulder for chisels or saws to register against. Veritas makes this one in the ideal format: the flat back helps the knife run true along a straightedge, and the 55° spear point means you can knife along either the right or left side of a square, and reach into tight corners. The nylon-reinforced ABS handle is rounded for comfort, with flats to keep it from rolling away. An indispensable shop necessity. The A2 steel blade is 5/16" by 1/32" thick and has a 25° bevel angle. It extends about 1-1/2" from the handle. 6-5/8" long; includes plastic tip guard.
