Whiteside Bottom Bearing Flush Trim Router Bit

Flush trim bits are straight cutting router bits that use a guide bearing to follow the exact shape of a template. Bottom bearing bits use have the bearing in the bottom(opposite from the shank) end of the bit. They are used with the template underneath the workpiece.

Straight cut flush trim bits have traditional straight carbide tips for fast efficient cuts.

Down Shear
Down Shear Bit

Down shear flush trim bits have angled carbide tips that cut with a shearing or slicing action, resulting in a cleaner cut on the top surface of the workpiece.

About Whiteside

Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 in Bill Whiteside's basement where he supplied tooling to NC's huge furniture making industry. Whiteside is still family-owned but has now grown to occupy a 40,000 square foot factory in Claremont, NC.

Whiteside offers a full range of router bits. Their rigid quality control and precision manufacturing techniques have repeatedly resulted in highest ratings in Fine Woodworking magazine tool reviews.

In the years that we've sold Whiteside router bits, we've experienced the company's commitment to excellent quality and superb customer service. We think you'll be pleased each time you use these fine tools in your shop.

We toured the Whiteside factory in Episode 1 of The Highland Woodworker. Watch the whole episode or just the factory tour (about 6:30).
