Woodpeckers Ultra-Shear Carbide Parting Tool

The parting tool is one of the most useful turning tools, but it is not usually very interesting or innovative. Easy Wood Tool has broken that mold with their Easy Parting Tool. The Easy Wood Tools handle gives you a firm grim on the tool and the thick, heavy tool body will virtually eliminate chattering and vibration in most cuts.

At the cutting end, the tool body slims down to 3/32" and holds a 1/8" cutting tip. The narrow cutter helps you save material and part in very tight spaces. Since the body of the tool is narrower than the cutter, the tool won't bind - even in deep cuts. You can part up to 4" deep with only a 1/8" part width.

The 1/8" wide cutting tip is solid carbide that stays sharp longer than any parting tool you've ever used. When it does (finally) dull, the tip is easily replaceable. Easy Wood Tools even includes a spare tip with the tool.

Maximum overhang off the tool rest is 2″.
