I was grinding with a 4" body grinder and safety glasses like those worn in Morton's How to Fold/Coil a Bandsaw Blade video and got a chip in my eye. I realized how important it is to wear goggles over the glasses too and/or a face shield. You can replace the glasses, goggles or shield, you can't replace your eye's.
Weed Eater's owners manuals say to wear safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection. Norm would be pissed at you if you forgot the FIRST RULE in the Shop. Read, understand and follow all the directions your tool comes with and don't forget those Safety Glasses!
Now write that on the chalkboard 1000 times! "I will always wear safety glasses and goggles..." -bobbg (YouTube)
