The Busiest of Seasons

Click on any picture to see a larger version.

Watching the weather forecast has become a bit of an obsession. If tomorrow is forecast with no rain, sleet, snow, or high winds, I plan my next day for "barn work." If the weather is predicted to be nasty, I plan "shop work." If the next day's weather is not quite good enough for the barn, but not bad enough to stay inside all day, I might spend that day gathering leaves, shopping for Christmas presents, picking up supplies (barn and shop), or doing some of the myriad chores that are piling up around the house. It is a busy season!

I know you are busy, too. It means a lot that despite the hustle and bustle inherent this time of the year, you are still finding (or making) the time to watch our videos and read our stories. Thank you! And speaking of videos, be sure to check out Part 3 of the "Under The Tablesaw Storage, Infeed, Outfeed, and Utility Cabinet" project. The legs for the cabinet are almost ready for glue-up, and I am ecstatic… I can't remember making anything lately with more, or more intricate, steps.

As we all frantically move through the winter months, I hope that everyone finds an opportunity to slow down, take it easy, and enjoy the holidays. And I hope each and every one of you has a joyous, loving, warm, safe, contemplative and reflective holiday! And I hope you get to spend quality time in your woodshop doing what you love. See you next year!
