Here's My Workshop!

My shop is actually just a few blocks east of Highland Woodworking, and I walk there frequently with my kids!
We built the shop along with a garage as part of an addition to our house in 2018. I was involved heavily in the design and construction. The plumbing and electrical (including a separate 200A service) was all done by me.
Most of my shop time is spent building furniture for our house and family, which I collaborate on designs with my wife who is studying architecture.
The 15' ceilings have been very handy in being able to move large pieces of lumber around. Most of the work I do is with white oak that was milled on site from trees we've had to cut down for the addition and for safety issues. You can see that the shop has an overhang designed for storing lumber as it air dries.
All of my big power tools have been purchased second hand and have been mechanically restored, which is a nice break from woodworking sometimes. Pictured are a few 60s Delta machines, and a big Parks bansdaw from around the same vintage era.
I use a lot of hand tools, and I'm working on building out storage for them. Most of these are also vintage, but there are no collector items here.
Future plans for the shop include a nicer flooring material, more integrated dust collection, and lots of storage that I desperately need right now. If there is one big tool that I would add it would be a bigger jointer/planer combo for space savings. Maybe someday I can take over the garage and that will be the dedicated bench room.
