Since 1998, I have been a juried member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, the second oldest guild of its type in America.

I replicate to scale, using wood, historic buildings in miniature as birdhouses, bird feeders, and spirit houses.

While this is very tedious and time intensive work, I have made some money at it. This is high end work selling from between $350 to $5,000. Some commission work has brought in as much as $8,000.

My work has been featured in Western North Carolina Magazine, Our State, Down Home in North Carolina and Southern Living magazine.

Thomas Jefferson's Honeymoon Cottage

My next project will be the replication of the Waldensian Presbyterian Church in Valdese, NC; built circa 1893 following the arrival by train of the Waldensian immigrants from the Alps Mountains region in northern Italy.
