After starting my bandsaw with a loose blade one too many times I decided to put a "can't miss" reminder on the equipment. I simply took a 6" chrome magnetic tray and wrote "loose" and "tight" on it with a magic marker. The "up" side indicates the position of the blade. It's so big and shiny I can't miss it and I haven't made the start-up mistake since.
