Animal Glues
For centuries Animal Glue (animal skin) has been used in furniture making, musical instruments and the decorative arts. Animal glues possess a variety of properties such as reversibility, color absorption, fast tack, super strength and it will not "creep". Animal glues are natural protein glues, chemically similar to gelatin and relatively safe to use. Animal glues can be debonded at any time with gentle heat, they are an obvious choice for sensitive restoration and repair jobs, and the choice for Luthiers. Bone and hide glue also offer high strength, good low-pressure gap-filling ability, high initial tack, and fast cure.
