Block Planes are the handiest little planes you can have in the shop. While block planes come
in many brands, shapes and sizes, most can easily be used with one hand. Originally designed
for carpenters "blocking in" boards planing end grain, block planes have irons bedded at lower
angles making them ideal for cutting through end grain, rabbeting and trimming joints quickly.
