Veritas Large Front Vise
This sturdy, large capacity front vise is perfectly suited to serve as a primary vise on the front of a work bench or may be installed on the end of a bench, where it can be used as a dog vise.
A robust 1-1/8" diameter Acme lead main screw and twin guide rods allow for efficient travel and limit vise racking. This vise gives 13" of clamping capacity (minus the thickness of your wooden jaws). The offset center screw design provides more clearance for clamping pieces vertically, with reduced skewing. Includes two support collars for the guide rods to use in some installation configurations as needed. Casting diameter for a handle is 1". (Handle NOT included.) Includes screws for installation.
This style of vise is a good choice for new bench builds, as well as retrofits and is quite versatile for mounting onto a range of styles of workbenches, allowing for different mounting configurations.
