Guide Bushings (or Template Guides) are integral to the Leigh Dovetail Jigs. The Guide Bushing mounts to the base of your router and guides it along the template so that it cuts the joint accurately.
Unfortunately, router manufacturers use many different systems for mounting guide bushings. Leigh's current system is based on the most common system - Porter-Cable style or "universal" guide bushings. (Some older Leigh jigs used a proprietary guide bushing system. See below for more info.)
In order to use Leigh dovetail jigs, you will need an adapter to mount the appropriate Leigh guide bushing to your router. Leigh offers a wide range of adapters to fit most routers. See the chart below for a fit guide to some routers commonly used in North America.

Leigh Guide Bushing and Adaptor Selection Chart
Older Leigh Dovetail Jigs - Leigh previously used a proprietary guide bushing system. If you have an older jig, some of these adapters are compatible with the older system, some not. You can use the current Leigh guide bushings with older jigs. If you're not sure, call before you order.
