Festool's 18V cordless drills bring a new paradigm to drilling machines, and are far more affordable than they appear at first glance. They offer a 3 year warranty on the entire drill, including the drill itself, the charger, as well as the batteries. That's right, even the batteries will be replaced within 3 years of purchase if they cease to hold a charge!

Most cordless drills rely on a mechanical clutch. The Festool cordless drill uses an advanced electronic clutch, resulting in better control and far less wear and tear on the motor and bearings.

Festool 18V cordless drills feature an advanced brushless motor which brings tangible higher efficiency, better reliability and longer service life. You will drive more screws faster. In addition, the torque is electronically controlled to produce the same torque regardless of which speed setting is used. You can switch back and forth between drill and drive modes without losing your clutch setting.

The state-of-the-art lithium-ion cells used in Festool's cordless drill batteries are individually selected to exactly match one another, resulting in a balanced load and absolute optimal charge and discharge cycles. They take a full charge in less than 70 minutes. The intelligent charger is also compatible with legacy Festool NiCad and NiMH batteries. The drill has a LED that illuminates the target area when you squeeze the drill's trigger.

Chucks

Festool's drills will allow you to drill and drive into areas that standard drills simply can't access. Three removable Fastfix® chucks and the Centrotec chuck comprise the system. The Keyless Chuck accepts bits up to 1/2" shank diameter. The Centrotec Chuck that lets you instantly snap 1/4" hex shank bits in & out. It is shorter and less bulky than conventional chucks. Switch to the Right Angle Chuck to work at a right angle to the drill's axis with the ability to rotate the chuck in 22.5° increments around a full circle. The right angle chuck holds 1/4" hex bits directly, but it also holds either the keyless drill chuck or the Centrotec chuck.
