Due to Festool policy, we cannot ship Festool products outside the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Any Festool order that we ship requires an shipping address in the contiguous US.
The centering mandrel is used to precisely align the router collet with the template guide. With the template guide loosely installed, put the mandrel through the template guide and fix it in the router collet. Then, raise cone of the mandrel until it seats in the template guide. While the cone holds the template guide in place, tighten it. Remove the centering mandrel. Now your collet and template guide are perfectly aligned. This centering mandrel is made by Festool, but will work in any router that has a 1/4" or 8mm collet. The maximum diameter of the cone(and largest template guide that can be centered) is 40mm (1-9/16").
