Finishing

There are so many kinds of finish and finishing techniques, how do you know what is best for your project? Is it interior or exterior, a functional table that will be well used or a delicate antique you are restoring? Will it be used in food prep or is it a toy for a child?

We can help you select the appropriate finish, and recommend some of our personal favorites. We also offer many excellent wood finishing books that will help with general finishing knowledge or will focus on the nuances of a specific technique.

Whatever direction you take, we have the finishing products, tools and supplies you will need. If you are a newbie, we suggest a little practice on some scrap wood, and no matter how much you really do not love sanding and surface preparation, it is critical to the success of your finishing project. Do not cut corners on this important step!
