Maxi-Loc Head
Kreg's stainless steel screws are designed for use in corrosive environments like ACQ lumber and maritime applications. All of Kreg's stainless steel screws use Kreg's Maxi-Loc washer heads for strength.
Screw Types
Coarse thread Kreg screws have deep threads that cut into softwoods and sheet goods for maximum grip. They should be used in basswood, spruce, fir, cedar, pine, MDF, plywood & particle board.
Fine thread Kreg screws are smaller so they can drive into hard woods without splitting, but they have more threads per inch to insure sufficient hold. They should be used in mahogany, cherry, maple, poplar, birch, ash, oak & hickory.
Kreg offers stainless steel screws in three lengths from 1-1/4" to 2-1/2". See the chart below for help selecting the correct length for your application.
Kreg screws have self-tapping tips so they drive easily and without splitting. They use square drive for positive connection and easy driving. These screws use # 2 square drivers.
