Lie-Nielsen Small Chisel Plane
Lie Nielsen's Small Chisel Plane never fails to turn heads with the cutting edge of the iron at the very front of the plane, it functions like a paring chisel with depth control. This uncommon plane is typically used to clean right up to the end of a rabbet after bullnose and rabbet planes have done most of the work. Chisel planes also work very handsomely as trim planes for cleanly flush-cutting pins, tails, through tenons or plugs, and for paring away dried glue squeeze-out. The small bronze plane is 6-1/2 inches long x 1-3/4 inches wide. Bed angle is 12° for clean cutting especially on end grain.
No. 97-1/2 Small Chisel Plane bronze body only, Blade Width: 1 3/4" Overall Length: 6 1/2" Weight: 2.35 lbs. Made in the U.S.A.
