Silica gel canisters prevent tools from rusting by removing moisture from the air inside toolboxes and drawers. The desiccant is neatly sealed inside a metal container which can be used over and over again. The inert dessicant material will not stain clothing, tools or finishes, and can be reused indefinitely.

The small canister is great for protecting drawers or cases containing tools, cameras, musical instruments, guns, telescopes - anything that is sensitive to moisture. the large canister works well for larger spaces like lockers, safes or cabinets.

Reactivation

When the indicator window turns pink, the hydrosorbent material is saturated. Reactivate the device by placing it in a 300° oven until the indicator turns blue (about 3 hours.) Allow to cool before use.

When you first use the silica gel canister in a particular area, it may become saturated rather quickly as it absorbs residual moisture. Once the residual dampness is removed, you can maintain a dry condition with less frequent need to reactivate.
