DMT 11.5 inch Dia-Sharp Bench Stone
These Dia-Sharp stones are 11-1/2" long by 2-1/2" wide on 3/8" solid steel plates. Monocrystalline diamond abrasive is bonded to the stones' solid surface. The heavy steel plates are precisely flat and guaranteed to stay that way. They are excellent for flattening and polishing the backs of chisels and plane irons, and of course they provide a truly sharp edge.
They may be used dry, requiring an occasional scrub with household abrasive cleanser to unclog the surface. Whenever possible, liberally wet the surface with water while you work, letting a combination of surface tension and hydraulic action keep swarf accumulation from slowing you down. Each stone comes with a set of non-skid ribber feet.
