A step up compared to straight flush trim bits. The spiral cutting edge will give a phenomenal finish on your workpiece. Choose up-cut for the cleanest cut on the bottom surface of your workpiece and down-cut for the cleanest cut on the top surface. (That's in freehand router use with the router on top of your workpiece. Do the opposite for cuts in table-mounted routers.) Use extra care with down-cut bits because they will tend to push the workpiece away from your router in both overhand and table-mounted applications.

These bits are milled from sold carbide and should give a long service life in addition to the high quality cut. The 1/8" bits (which are great for tight corners) use a solid pilot. All others use a double bearing guides.

About Whiteside

Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 in Bill Whiteside's basement where he supplied tooling to NC's huge furniture making industry. Whiteside is still family-owned but has now grown to occupy a 40,000 square foot factory in Claremont, NC.

Whiteside offers a full range of router bits. Their rigid quality control and precision manufacturing techniques have repeatedly resulted in highest ratings in Fine Woodworking magazine tool reviews.

In the years that we've sold Whiteside router bits, we've experienced the company's commitment to excellent quality and superb customer service. We think you'll be pleased each time you use these fine tools in your shop.

We toured the Whiteside factory in Episode 1 of The Highland Woodworker . Watch the whole episode or just the factory tour (about 6:30).
