Anchorseal has been the industry standard green wood treatment for years. Anchorseal 2 Hybrid End Sealer - the latest version of this venerable product - is a big step forward. It uses more natural materials and fewer petroleum based products for a greener and more economical sealer. It offers improved stability and check prevention over original Anchorseal and is is less drippy for less mess and waste.
This thick, waxy sealer easily provides the control you need to slow evaporative moisture loss through end grain to reduce checking and warping as green wood dries. When applied after sawing, Anchorseal 2 prevents up to 90% of checking. The dry film of Anchorseal 2 is soft enough to be scraped off the wood easily when it's ready to be used.
Each gallon covers approximately 100 square feet.
