Steady demand from our customers here at the store has led us to stock a full line of Sorby's high speed steel tools, from specialty oversize gouges and scrapers for deep hollow forms to more ordinary bowl and spindle tools.
Sorby has aggressively sought to learn from top-notch turners all over the world, adapting their own tools or adopting new shapes entirely as turners make the case for their favorite custom profiles. Thus Sorby has unique tools inspired by Liam O'Neil, Dennis Stewart, Tracy Owen and other fine turners.
All our Sorby turning tools are made of high speed steel, with brass ferruled and wasp-waisted ash handles with protective brass end caps. This massive scraper will minimize vibration while turning. It can even be used well out over the toolrest. 1-1/2" wide by 3/8" thick. Overall length is 21-1/4".
