Detailed Description
ECE Jointer Plane ECE hand planes combine Emmerich's meticulous quality with the economy of traditional hammer-set irons secured with wooden wedges. Heavy irons are solidly bedded for smooth, clean performance. Bodies are dense European beech and soles are long-wearing hornbeam. As in all Emmerich planes, the workmanship is simply outstanding.
This plane is 23-5/8" long by 3" wide, with a 2-3/8" iron. There is a short metal chipbreaker and the iron and chipbreaker are secured with a wooden wedge. This plane adjusts like a standard wooden wedge plane by tapping on the iron to set it deeper and rapping the metal strike button on the body of the plane to release the wedge.
Total weight is 6.85 lbs.
