Detailed Description
Fisch Jennings Pattern Auger Bit
These Jennings Pattern Auger Bits are excellent for boring with a bit brace. They cut a clean hole in most woods. Jennings
bits have two spurs at the cutting end which score the surface of your workpiece - ensuring a clean hole. The large, open
flute of the Jennings bit facilitates rapid and easy clearance of chips. The screw tip assists in drilling by pulling the bit
through the wood. (You don't have to put a lot of pressure on these bits, just enough to help the screw tip grip the wood.
Let the tool do its job.) OAL is 9″
Russell Jennings patented this type of auger bit in 1855. Since the patent ran out, a number of companies have manufactured
"Jennings Pattern" bits based on Russell Jennings' original design. Our bits are precision manufactured in Austria
by Fisch. We think you'll find these excellent bits to be a pleasure to use.
Our Jennings pattern auger bits have a traditional square taper shank for use in hand braces.
Note: Set of 3 Auger Bits includes the 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" bits.
