Iturra High Tension Bandsaw Spring

Built into the upper wheel assembly on your bandsaw is a compression spring whose job is to cushion against sudden shock or increased tension if & when the blade bows within a cut. On older saws, this spring may be so fatigued from a lifetime of compression that it limits maximum blade tension and provides inadequate shock absorption as well. This High Tension Spring for 14" cast iron bandsaws is made from high strength chrome-vanadium alloy flat stock, coiled and milled flat on the ends for outstanding performance and durability.

First, get a tension crank for your saw so you can realistically expect to release blade tension every day. Then, replace your old spring with our high tension spring, and you'll never need to think about it again.

Size

Iturra offers two sizes of bandsaw spring to fit many 14" cast iron saws by Delta, Jet and some clones.

  • The 2-1/2" spring fits most Delta 14" cast iron bandsaws and some clones. It is 2-1/2" long, 3/4" OD and 13/32" ID.
  • The 3" spring fits most Jet 14" cast iron bandsaws and similar clones of the Delta 14" saw. It is 3" long, 3/4" OD and 13/32" ID.
