Blade Types

Wood Blades

Wood blades have a double row of Japanese style teeth for fast, clean cuts in wood. They should not be used for plunge cuts or cuts in harder materials. Wood blades come in two sizes - both sold in packs of 5.

  • HSB 50/35/J/OSC 35mm wide x 50mm long (1-3/8" wide x 2" long) - StarLock Mount

Universal Blades

Universal blades are extremely durable, bimetal blades for cuts an a variety of materials. Universal blades come is four sizes - all sold in packs of 5.

  • USB 50/35/Bi/OSC 35mm wide x 50mm long (1-3/8" wide x 2" long) - StarLock Mount
  • USB 50/65/Bi/OSC 65mm wide x 50mm long (2-1/2" wide x 2" long) - StarLockPlus Mount

Carbide Blades

Carbide blades have carbide teeth with a ceramic coating for cutting hard materials like ferrous metals, stainless steel, copper pipe, brick and façade panels. Sold individually.

Round Blade

The Wood Blade is designed for long, straight cuts in wood. The bimetal blade is 4" in diameter and includes a protector for the back side of the blade when in use. If it dulls, just rotate the blade to fresh, sharp teeth. Sold individually.

Segment Blade

The Segment Blade is used to remove window putty. Sold individually.

Mount

The StarLock Oscillating blade mount was introduced in 2016 to increase oscillating tool blade compatibility across manufacturers. They come in three different patterns (or classes). All StarLock-equipped machines can change blades easily and without tools. All machines are compatible with blades using a lower mount rating. (All StarLockPlus machines can also use StarLock blades. All StarLockMax machines can also use StarLock and StarLockPlus blades.) Please Note: StarLock blades may not fit oscillationg tools sold prior to April, 2016.

  • StarLock is the standard duty mount.
    • Fits Festool OSC 18 Li, Fein MultiTalent, Fein MultiMaster, Fein SuperCut, Bosch, Makita, Rigid, Milwaukee, etc.
  • StarLockPlus is the medium duty mount. It is used for larger blades that require a more robust mount.
    • Fits Festool OSC 18 Li ,Fein MultiTalent, Fein MultiMaster, Fein SuperCut, Bosch
  • StarLockMax is the heavy duty mount. It is used for big or aggressive-cutting blades that require the most robust mount.
    • Fits Festool OSC 18 Li, Fein SuperCut, Bosch
