Highland Woodworking COVID-19 Response

To our many loyal customers,

Out of an abundance of caution, given the gravity of the rapidly spreading coronavirus pandemic, Highland Woodworking is temporarily shifting its emphasis entirely to online sales at

This means our retail store in Atlanta will not be open for walk-in business for the next two weeks, beginning Monday, March 16. As the end of that time approaches, we will reevaluate the situation and provide an update.

If you are local to Atlanta, will-call service may be arranged in some cases by phoning us at 404-872-4466 and we will arrange for direct pickup by you from our loading dock at the rear of the store.

Also all March 2020 classes at our store are now canceled or postponed. We will refund prior class payments or credit them towards a future class, according to your preference.

In the meantime, our first priority is keeping our entire staff safe so we can continue to serve you as we've enjoyed doing for the past 42 years. For this reason, we will not be opening our doors at our Atlanta store to customers until the situation stabilizes.

We are however excited to continue receiving your online orders for woodworking tools and supplies, and at this time we expect to ship most in-stock orders (as usual) within one business day after receipt.

We want to encourage you and your family to use this time to stay safe, and to make wise choices to avoid any unnecessary exposure to this virus as its pace of spreading continues to accelerate. The CDC has issued recommendations that every one of us should begin practicing immediately. Unless we conscientiously employ adequate social distancing at this critical time, COVID-19 may tragically overwhelm our entire health care system.

We believe staying home and spending more time doing woodworking in your workshop would be an excellent choice. It will help you remain energetic, creative and productive during this stressful situation that's causing extreme suffering for many people while seriously impacting almost everyone's normal activities.

As a small family business, we are very grateful to you for your continued support in these troubled times. We are doing everything possible to stay safe ourselves so we can continue serving your woodworking needs without interruption.
