Combination stones are two grits in one - saving you money and space in your shop. We offer King Combination stones covering in three sizes and two grit combinations.

Grits
  • 250 grit cuts aggressively. It's perfect for flattening the backs of new tools and removing large bevel nicks.
  • 1000 grit is the one you'll go to when you need to resharpen a tool that's in pretty good shape. It's coarse enough to reform an edge without leaving deep scratches that you'll have to remove later.
  • 6000 grit is typically used to polish out the scratches left by the 1000 grit stone to achieve a fine edge.
Sizes
  • The Small Stone is perfect of the job site or for sharpening gardening or other edge tools.
  • The Medium Stones are excellent general use stones for sharpening in the shop on a budget.
  • The Large Stone is big enough to sharpen wide blades and thick enough to give a very long life. It's great for sharpening well maintined blades.
