The filter element is the second line of defense against dust in your Festool Dust Extractor. The Filter Bag removes large particles from the airflow. The Filter Element filters the air to a much finer level.

Festool offers two main types of filters elements and three specialty versions.

  • The HEPA Filter Element removes 99.99% of dust particles to 0.3 microns. It is the is the standard equipment filter in CT SYS , CT Mini I , CT Midi I , CT 15 , CT 25 , CT 26 , CT 36 & CT 48 dust extractors.
  • The 1µ (micron) Filter Element is an economical alternative to the HEPA filter. It was the standard filter on some older Festool Dust Extractors.
  • The Wet Filter Element fits in place of the standard filter element and prevents potentially damaging foam buildup when vacuuming water.
  • The 1µ Drywall Filter Element is specifcally designed for use in the CT 36 AutoClean Dust Extractor when sanding drywall.
  • The 1µ LongLife Filter Element is a more durable version of the standard 1µ filter for older Festool Dust Extractors. It features rigid sides and M-shape filter material fold. This filter is only available for CT11, CT 22 & CT 33 dust extractors.

Each Festool Filter Element includes instructions for changing your filters, a plastic bag for disposal of your old filter and a complete filter replacement set (one filter for CT Mini, CT Midi, CT Mini I, CT Midi I, CT 26, CT 36, CT 36 AC & CT 48 dust extractors; two filters for CT11, CT 22 & CT 33 dust extractors.)
